Single-Stream Recycling at Quincy University

National has implemented a single-stream recycling program at Quincy
Congratulations to Quincy University for implementing a single-stream recycling program. Kevin Hahn, a student at Quincy, describes single-stream recycling as “a system which allows all recyclable materials to be combined together in one container.” This is a vast improvement over having to sort out all the glass, aluminum, and paper and will hopefully lead to more recycling and less trash going to the landfill.
Hahn wrote a great article for Quincy’s newsletter, “The Falcon,” comparing Rob Goeble, National’s Director at Quincy, to Captain Planet. Hahn says, “I know Rob isn’t a light blue magical entity with a green proto-mullet garbed in elemental clothing which show off his six pack abs who rises out of the crust of the earth to defend the world from environmental disasters…He has however brought about one of the best things for QU’s environmental friendliness.”
Hahn also recognizes the great work of Quincy’s Business Office, the Waste Management Subcommittee, and the Aesthetics Committee who all contributed to make this great idea come to fruition. Captain Planet would be proud!
