Remembering
Frederick D. Hoppe

National Management Resources Corporation’s Founder Frederick Daniel Hoppe, Jr. passed on November 12, 2018 at age 79. Hoppe started the business in Denver, Colorado in 1978 as National Hospital Services providing custodial management to the healthcare Industry. As time went by, National shifted focus and began providing facilities management services to the higher education sector. Because of its proud affiliation with LaGrange College — a campus where prospective clients could witness first hand one of National’s premier operations — Fred moved the business to LaGrange, GA in 1989. Today National serves 45 institutions of higher education and employs over 1,200 associates throughout the country.

Hoppe was an active philanthropist interested in supporting the institutions that he served. Fred served on the board of St. John’s Military School in Salina, Kansas and received an honorary degree from LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA in recognition of his support of the institution. Along with his wife Eleanor, Fred steered a course for the success of National based on integrity, service, and good business sense. He is survived by his daughter Mary Christine Vitale; sons Randy and Terry; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

“I highly valued the support provided by NMR during the transition period. They were with us every step of the way, guiding our staff smoothly into becoming part of the NMR team. This support was both appreciated and comforting. It relieved us from handling the intricate logistics of the transition process.”
